LUNCH ‘N’ LEARN

WHAT IS IT?

This is a lunchtime activity that combines life skills learning, cooking and eating lunch together. The “learn” is integrated into the activities that consist of planning, shopping, preparing and cleaning up. Lunch is enjoyed with fellow learners and members of the community.

WHEN IS IT?

Every weekday Monday through Friday except for statutory holidays.  On occasion participants prepare community lunches for special guests, who share in good food and conversation.

WHERE IS IT?

Lunch ‘n Learn is held at the Humbercrest United Church at 16 Baby Point Road, Toronto.  Clean and modern preparation areas, equipment and kitchen facilities allow for full participation.

WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENS?

Every weekday 8-12 participants arrive ready to connect, plan, learn and enjoy their lunch. The KEYS’ co-ordinator, staff assistant and volunteer, welcome and guide the participants in the program.
